I went to Back Bay Mission for 2 months in November – December 2015 as a Volunteer from the United Church of Christ. They have provided mission services to the Gulf Coast region for over 90 years. They work in 3 areas: with the homeless, providing a Day Care Center; with the poor, providing a Food Pantry and other support services; and through a housing repair mission, that brings in church groups from all over the United States for a week at a time to work on housing for the poor.
