My first stop on my journey to Biloxi, MS was in Thomasville, GA. I toured the Laphan-Peterson House, which was built by an eccentric businessman from Chicago in 1884. Mr. Laphan had survived the Chicago fire, and was terrified of being trapped in another fire, so his house has all sorts of angles, and many windows and doors in each room.
