Dale Chihuly is an absolutely amazing artist in blown glass. My sister Sandy introduced me to his work, and I have seen pieces he has done at the Botanical Gardens in Atlanta, GA and at the Art Museum in Naples, FL. He was born in Tacoma, Washington, and has literally worked around the world, but eventually came back to his home town. The exhibition below has been set up since 2012 in a purpose-built building for displaying his work. Because of an injury to one eye these days he mostly teaches others the art of blown glass and does a lot of educational work in the Tacoma/Seattle area. This was one of the best art exhibitions I have ever seen. We even talked about going back again the next day, but we ran out of time.
