Did you know there was a Hindu Temple in Atlanta?  Neither did I, until someone put a picture on Facebook, and I knew I had to visit on my next trip to Atlanta.  Well, here I am, and I spent Wednesday morning visiting the Mandir.  It is only 10 years old.  It is a thriving community set in a beautiful urban setting.

BAPS is a branch of Hinduism dating back to 1907.  Hinduism differs from Christianity in that many swamis (teachers) are exalted for their teachings, and even worshipped, although they do believe in one supreme God.  You could say that they have many lesser Gods.

I was not allowed to take photos close to the Mandir, or anywhere inside, but I hope you can get a sense of the place from the photos I did take.  It was a very interesting morning.
