We are very fortunate here in Savannah to have two art museums, the Telfair, which houses more traditional exhibitions in an beautiful antebellum mansion, and the Jepson, only 10 years old, also housed in a beautiful modern building. I’ve seen some wonderful exhibitions in both buildings over the years I’ve lived in Savannah.

A week ago, I finally managed to visit the exhibition on Impressionism and Post-Impressionism in the Jepson. The wonderful thing about the exhibition was that I hadn’t seen any of the paintings before, as they are from the Dixon Gallery in Memphis, Tennessee. I have seen a lot of Impressionist art over the years, in many places, so it is a treat to see completely new paintings.
